I'd have to admit, I wasn't really planning on watching this series because the first time I saw Satoru's Mom I thought it was a comedy-type of anime and that it was kinda boring. But holy jeebus! I was so wrong. The series is already on its third episode and when I first watched the first episode I got so hooked that I watched all three of them one after another. >__<
Remember what I said on my caption with this series? "Art looks promising", I said that and decided to watch this series because of the splash art and it looks like I was right. Even though this genre is the same as Sword Art Online or Log Horizon the ambiance is sort of different. The story progression is somewhat slow compared to the other two (yea I know it's only at episode 2 right now but that's how I feel about this one). It's kind of relaxing if you ask me. The calm atmosphere it gives along with the slow-paced story and top it off with amazing scenery, it gives the feeling that you're also a part of the story itself (like a third person or w/e).
If you can see my watchlist right now you'll see different kinds of genres there, Action, Drama, Romance, Comedy, Fantasy, Horror (god no), and of course, Ecchi. It's like a roller coaster ride with different plots/stories/genres and what makes Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash somewhat alluring to me is, again, because of its slow-paced story. It's that one series which will make you want to watch it whenever you feel down or depressed or just plain bored. XD I have yet to see the "action" in this series as we've only saw the characters fight off goblins. On a side note though, ISN'T IT TOO EARLY FOR COUPLES TO FORM IN THEIR GROUP?? (Yea I'm talking about Manato and Shihoru), like, man, SHIHORU NUUUUUUU. Well, we still have Yume though. *wink wink* :)) *Cough* Anyway, Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash surely will be moving up in my priority watchlist. You guys should try to watch it too! :D Click on the "Read More" to see beautiful screenshots (not spoilers) of Episode 2! [Chū-2] Episode 8 from Euhno on Vimeo.
MY HEART IS ALSO POUNDING!!
Bones, bones everywhere! This is what I've seen from episode one up to the last. Well, it isn't really that surprising because the title itself says "Beautiful Bones", LOL? Anywho, this will only be a short review since I never had the chance to take screenshots per episode as I was more focused on Noragami Aragoto last season. XD
